Scaling
Scaling is preformed by your dentist when the tartars have gone down underneath the gums thus creating a pocket between your teeth and the gum which will become a nest for harmful bacteria. During scaling doctor cleans al the plaque and tartar down to the bottom of the pocket and smoothing the outer surface of the root thus aiming to eliminate the pocket.
What to expect : mostly painless some times local anesthetic is used , very little sensitivity after the treatment for a few days
Duration of treatment : 20 – 30 minutes
Flouride
Fluoride comes in few different forms like solution, gel, foam, or varnish. During flouride treatment your dentist applies high concentration of flouride to your teeth which will be absorbed to its structure thus increasing the strength of tooth structure and drastically reducing the risk of decay.
What to expect: no pain , you will stay still with mouth open for some time
Duration of treatment : about 30 minutes
Fissure Sealant
If you have a hard time brushing your child’s teeth or cannot make them keep their oral hygiene as desired then Fissure sealants can keep their permanent tooth from easily getting decay for quite some time.
Cleaning and Scaling
Many people have hard time cleaning and brushing their teeth properly which leads to accumulation of tartar especially around the gum contours. Tartars are literally the food remnants which absorb the minerals in your saliva and become calcified and hard, which then are impossible to remove by brushing.
This is when you need your dentist to remove the tartar by special tools and machinery. In our clinic with the latest machinery we clean the tartars without harming the structure of your teeth and gums.
Airflow
Airflow which is a combination of water, air and small particles is applied by special machinery as a treatment which is mostly used to remove persistent stains and pigments off the surface of your teeth.
Airflow has several advantages compared to normal cleaning and scaling. First and foremost, it can reach very small gaps and areas which scaling devices cannot. Airflow is not only capable of removing the tartars above the gums but also can reach deep into the pockets and clean the plaques with high potency.
General-Detailed Screening with 3D tomography
Also called CBCT (Cone beam computed tomography) the 3D imaging technique is a must for detailed planning and follow up of treatments in modern dentistry. From implant and surgical planning and measuring of the bone quality to Endodontics and Orthodontics, tomography is used for planning the best possible way of treatment and elimination of probable outcoming complications.
